Co-pilots with many flight hours
Ralf van Roosmalen
Ralf started as a holiday worker at ESJ when he was 17, but this turned out to be a very long and fun holiday job! He completed his internships from the accountants’ course at Avans in Breda at ESJ. He then followed the RA course at Nyenrode and continued to work part-time at ESJ.
Ralf obtained the title of RA in 2008. After several years working in ESJ’s audit practice, he moved to the SME practice and increasingly started advising clients. In 2011, he became a partner and in 2012 he had the opportunity to set up a new label within ESJ, AccountAnders.
A few years later, he had the opportunity to do this again for Fact4Fysio, the industry specialisation for physio practices.
“As a consultant, I have become increasingly involved in valuations, acquisitions and financings. I prefer to assist in acquisitions. It is always a wonderful feeling for me when I get to close a deal for a client.”
Liane Okhuijsen
Liane has been a senior corporate finance adviser at Corpance since 2022. She is results-oriented, with a focus on delivering added value for each client.
Besides financial analysis, she also has an eye for entrepreneurs’ values, motivations and emotions.
She gained corporate finance experience over the past 17 years at Grant Thornton, Solveigh and Crossminds, among others. In this capacity, she has been involved as a consultant in many complex local and international valuation assignments, merger and acquisition transactions and business analyses. She graduated as an economist from Erasmus University Rotterdam in Corporate Finance, and has been registered as a Register Valuator with the NiRV (Netherlands Institute for Register Valuators) since 2008.
“I specialise in value assessment of companies. The diversity of companies and entrepreneurs make this work interesting and challenging for me!”
Ivo Laurijssens
Ivo works as a senior corporate finance adviser within Corpance. He started his career 30 years ago at a medium-sized accounting firm in the audit practice, and then worked in the corporate world as finance manager and CFO.
Ivo obtained his HEAO degree in business economics and accountancy at AVANS University of Applied Sciences in Breda, and then pursued studies as a chartered accountant at the Catholic University of Brabant in Tilburg (KUB). He is experienced in buying and selling companies, preparing companies for sale and valuations. He also has a special interest in carrying out and supervising due diligence assignments.
“The great thing about working as a corporate finance adviser is that you get to guide and advise entrepreneurs at an important time in their lives. It takes time to sell a business, so my advice is to start on time! Financial and tax optimisation routes are not settled overnight.
When acquiring a family-owned business in particular, sufficient time and attention must be devoted to the emotional aspects that often come into play around the acquisition of family businesses. Having also worked within family businesses, I understand all too well that many emotions may surface before the decision is made to sell the business. Starting on time ensures that all aspects related to the sale of a business are given sufficient time to achieve a successful transaction. “
Ton Kuipers
Ton has worked at Corpance (ESJ Corporate Finance) since 2017. He has a broad background with long-standing experience as an investment banker. His interest in corporate finance arose years ago from his acquisition finance specialisation and he embarked on a business valuation course in 2016.
“I enjoy working on valuation and acquisition projects. The important thing for me is to conclude a deal where the client is satisfied with the result achieved.”
Marijn Naalden
Marijn has been with Corpance since 2022. His work mainly consists of performing valuation assignments and supporting senior advisers in acquisitions, financing requests and due diligence investigations.
Before he joined Corpance, Marijn completed the Bachelor of Economics & Business Economics and the Master of Finance at Tilburg University. He now applies this vast theoretical knowledge in practice.
“Generally, I am a calm worker with a passion for corporate finance. This means that I am always driven to achieve the best result for the client. After work, I like to exercise in my leisure time. I am on the football pitch at least three times a week, and I always want to win there. I make no secret of the fact that I am an Ajax supporter.“
